Failed to update Office XP

Hello,

I am trying to update office XP with SP1, but it fails
with the error message Error 1328: Error applying patch to
file D:\Config.Msi\PTD3.tmp. It has probaly been updated
by other means, and can no longer be modified by this
patch. For more information contact your patch vendor.

I am using the English version of Windows XP and Office XP.

Any ideas what this can be?

Worked for me. I had the same problem before I tried this procedure.
