I installed an English version Access 97 on a desktop computer running
English Windows XP Pro. It works correctly. Recently, I changed to Chinese
(Hong Kong S.A.R) from English (United States) for Language for non-Unicode
programes in Advanced Tab of Regional and Language Options applet for an
English program of WinMX to display Chinese. Once the change is taken
place, the Access 97 failed to run previous databases. The error message is
"Microsoft Access has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience.". I changed the same parameter on a notebook
computer which is running English Windows XP Home Edition without this
issue. Can someone offer me any hints to fix this problem.
Thanks,
Ray
