Hi,
We are using a "shared" workbook in a LAN windows
environment. Initially, the workbook seems to be able to
save changes made by different users. Later, we find that
none of us are able to save the workbook and we get an
error message that says "The File Cannot be found". We
noticed that the said workbook seems to have got renamed
on its own in its physical location though the workbook is
open on our desktop in a different original name. The
error message now seems to make sense but how and why did
the workbook rename itself? Also note that the renamed
workbook has no extension i.e no ".xls". Also found that
it is possible to change the filename again and it does
recognize .xls but even if we rename it to the original
name the save is not successful.
Any help is appreciated. Thank You.
