I am trying to install Office 2000 on a Windows 98
machine. I have Access 97 already installed. I did
rename the hatten.ttf file and I am installing 2000 into a
different directory. It seems to just about complete the
installion when I get the error message:
"Error 1336 - There was an error creating a temporary file
that is needed to complete this installation."
The status bar starts to roll back and then I get the
second error:
"Fatal error - Installation ended prematurely because of
an error"
I do have administrative rights. I have tried to install
while on the network, not logged on to the network,
scanned for virus, dumped my temps, disabled my anti-virus
scan, just bare basics running in background.
Any ideas? I'd greatly appreciate any help!
