Fax forwarding

We run 2 servers with a domain on each server. Is it physically possible to
forward a fax from one domain to another? The IT Manager could create a user
account so another person could VPN in to the other domain and check the Fax
Folder. Is it possible to forward the faxes as an email? If so, what would
I have to do?

the msfax is simplistic and seems that
you are needing a high performance fax
program from a third party.

but from my simplistic experience
with msfax, i would put the incoming
and outgoing fax folders on a shared
directory and hope that any user
can access the shared folder and open the
transmittal.

also, fax's are basic images and are saved
as tiff's on the disk. As with any file
they can be sent via email. Further,
OCR programs can convert the image
into an editable document.

however, it comes to mind that maybe
an "internet fax service" might be
what you are looking for.

it seems reasonable that if a fax was
sent to your company via phone number,
then the internet service would capture it
and send it to you as an email.

Then as with any email, the transmittal can
be saved, forward, etc....
