FAX from my pc

I would like to know if free software is on the microsoft web site to enable
me to faxe from my home pc, If not what do you think i should use

windows comes with a fax service.

It requires your modem device, com port device assigned for the modem and
telephone connection.
Then go into printers and install a "fax printer". So when you send one, it
is done by printing to the fax
printer...

You can probably get info from Microsoft.com with the above clues...
