Fax monitor

Hello

I have previously used fax on windows XP Professional. I used to use
the Fax Monitor utility to show current progress (like it shows
dialing... sending page 1 etc)

I recently bought a Dell 4600 with XP home and the system is able to
send faxes alright.. but the monitor is not showing any activity as it
should. I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling fax etc and no luck.

the sent fax folder etc seem fine, i.e once the fax is sent out, the
message disappers from the outbox and shows up in the sent folder.

anyone see the same behaviour? and found a workaround or fix.

A number of standard update and repair procedures disabled the Fax Monitor
in the initial release of Windows XP. These problems were fixed in Service
Pack 1. Make sure you apply SP1 if you notice this problem.
