Hi,

is there any Windows based (not Linux!) free alternative
Fax Server Solution that i can install on my Windows XP
and Vista Clients so that i can share a Fax Connection
within my Home Network,...?

Open Source would be recommended, so i can modify
any stuff if i must,...

TIA

The software is generally used by business, and thus is not free!
If it were, the fax spam people would have taken over completely!

Hi Chuck,

there are lots of Fax solutions for free available on Linux Systems,
plain to say the mostly well known one is HylaFax, which is very
powerfull and open source. There are also Windows Clients available
for it, working very stable and reliable. Your argument is not convincing
me,...but of cource thanks for your answer!

It is no match to install a linux, install hylafax and configure it on the
fly,
even secure it against acl's, but i want a windows solution, perfect
would be a open source one. First i thought about writing my own
server solutuon usable under windows clients as a server for faxing
services, but i dont have the time for writing any code at the
moment,...maybe in future. Maybe someone did something like
that and best would be open source,...

Hi Kerem,

The RelayFax Open Source Project may meet your requirements;

Hi Andrew,

thanks for the reply, but this is a library, i am
looking for a ready to use application that
can be installed as a virtual printer and shared
over the network,....like other printers. I think
i will write such a application and realease it
as open source, if i will find time for it, because
there is no such stuff available for windows it
seems,...
