faxing a word document in Word X

What do I have to do to set up my Word preferences so that i can fax
word documents from my computer? I have a 56k dialup connection.

If you have Panther, it is a nobrainer. Faxing is one of the print
options.
Earlier OS X needs a fax utility to achieve the same result (Fax
options added to print dialog) Go to versiontracker.com and search. It
is rumoured that FaxStf is best avoided.
