Feathering photo insert edges in Montages

I believe that Powerpoint has taken over Picture It. When using Picture It I
was able to "feather" photo inserts when making a montage. How can this be
done when using Power Point. Any advice would be appreciated

Not really. Picture It was an image editing program whereas PPt is
presentation software. Like virtually all Office programs PPt has some
"picture formatting" features but it isn't an image editor. A project such
as you describe -- as well as any other graphic work -- is best done in a
program designed for the purpose.

What you can accomplish in PPt varies much with version which you don't
mention. The source of your post suggests you're on a Windows box, in which
case you'd do best to ask in one of the Win Office groups for PPt -- this
one deals with PPt for Mac. Start here if you are on a PC:
