Few problems with using MS Outlook 2003 and Gmail.com POP3

Hello people,

I have 4 problems with using MS Outlook and gmail.com, and i hope you will
help me to resolve them...!

Steps what i completed to start use MS Outlook with Gmail.com POP3....

a) Enabling POP:

b) Set up Outlook client to work with Gmail:

c) Set settings for - "Leave e-mail messages on your e-mail server", AND
"Delete them, when deleted from Outlook /Deleted Items/":

d) settings to notify when messages are delivered or read:

Problems:

1) When i delete message from server (www.gmail.com), after "Sending
Receiving" operation in Outlook, this deleted message still aviable in
Outlook. I need to this message be deleted in Outlook, if it deleted on
server!

2) When i delete message from MS Outlook "Deleted Items", this message is
still aviable on server (www.gmail.com)! I need to this message be deleted
from server, if it deleted fron Outlook "Deleted Items".

P.S. Settings what i set for "Remove from server when deleted from "Deleted
Items"" is not working!! Why?


3) I am not receiving notifications about delivery and read! Why?

4) If im sending message from my server (www.gmail.com), then after login
into MS Outlook, i see this message (message what i sent) in my INBOX foldes,
but not in SENT folder! Why?

Can't be done when using a POP account.

This should do the job. gmail is a not a standard POP server and it may not
honor the delete. I have not experimented.

3) I am not receiving notifications about delivery and read! Why?

Are you speaking of read and delivery receipts? Many (most?) mail servers do
not honor delivery receipt requests and many people disable honoring read
receipt requests. You cannot rely on those to work.

Because that's how gmail works. Outlook has nothing to do with it.
