I have an existing Access database, created with A2003, which tracks my open
issues. The description of the fields provides useful data entry tips and is
displayed in the left side of the Status bar when in datasheet mode or in a
form that is built on the table. In A2003, all of the text in the
Description is displayed, about 160 characters at most, but in A2007 the left
part of the Status bar, where the Description is displayed, is cut off at
about 100 characters. I have formatted the Status bar and removed all of the
other items, but the left side of the status bar shrinks when I move from the
first field (autonumber) to the Application name, a text field. How do I
lenghten the amount of space allocated to the left side of the Status bar so
that all of the Description is displayed, or is this just one of the 'new
features' in Access 2007.
