Field Heading Orientation

Is there a way that you can change the orientation of field headings in a
similar way to that of excel.
Some of my headers are long and cannot be shortened using caption.
Any help would be appreciated.

In form or report design view click on the label then double click the corner
and it will resize to fit.
Also in form or report you can resize to a single letter wide and display
vertical text.
