field name needed

Hello,
in a when I have a field that is definined as .. "fld"
I find that the statement fld.type returns a number. How can i return a
string that describes the field? ie: "Number" or "Text"

You have to write a custom function to do so. Below is one I use in one of
my databases. I used the dbConstants, but you can use numbers instead.
