Field Names

Could someone please tell me how to delete field names that
are no longer of use in Outlook.

If I create a form from Post for example, add some objects
to it, name them and then don't save the form, the names I
have given to those objects are mysteriously stored away
somewhere irrespective of the form not being saved and I
cannot reuse these names on any other form.

This is weird because in every other MS product, I can
reuse the names as long as they are not on the same form.
How does one delete these field names? Where are they
stored?

Sounds like you're creating new fields in such a way as to store the field definitions in the parent folder of the item type to whose form you added the field (e.g. fields added to a contact form go into the Contacts folder). You can delete them through the Field Chooser for the folder view.
