field not fit in record

Hi,
I'm trying to export a table as a dbf from Access 2000 or
2003 (have both, tried both) so that I can import it into
SAS. For some reason sas won't import it directly.
Separate problem.... When I try to export the table it
gives me the error "field not fit in record". I can make
it work as an excel file but still cannot import this into
SAS.

Any thoughts?
