Field "%work complete" in the PWA timesheet

In the PWA 2003 timesheet, I show the columns "Real end date" and "%work
complete".
Resources connect to PWA and when the task is over, they put 100% in the
"%work complete" column and put the new end date of the task in the "real
end date".
For example : when the task has last 3 days more than initialy planned by
the project manager.

Then the project manager accepts the tasks updates and it makes MSP update
the planning with the correct dates. The tasks are shown as complete in MSP.

But, in the PWA timesheet, the resource can see his old task again, with
%work complete = 73% !!! And not 100% !
Can somebody explain me why ?
Does it come from the configuration of Project Server ?

I noticed that it does not occur if the resource does not fill the "real end
date" field. The task remains at 100% after the acceptation of the project
manager.

Thanks for help

You are using the wrong procedure with the Actual Finish and % Work Complete
fields. If a task finishes late, team members SHOULD NOT enter 100%
complete in the % Work Complete field. Instead, they should enter the date
they actually completed the work in the Actual Finish field. When you enter
an Actual Finish date, the system assumes the task is 100% complete. Hope
this helps.

If the resource enters an actual finish date without entering 100% in the
%work complete in PWA, when the project manager acceptes the update, the
task is shown as 100% complete in MSP but not in PWA. The resources still
see the task with 0% work complete in the PWA timesheet.

Can you explain me why ?

The project manager needs to publish the latest schedule changes to the
Microsoft Project plan by clicking Collaborate - Publish - All Information.
This step needs to be done after accepting every batch of task updates from
team members. Doing so will "push" the latest schedule information onto
every team member's timesheet in PWA, including the 100% complete value.
Hope this helps.
