"Fields are nested too deeply" in Word 2000

Hi,
I get the error: "Fields are nested too deeply" in Word 2000. This
happens in a macro, but I can't tell where in the code it is
happening.

This macro works fine in Word 97.

Have applied SP-1 and SP-2. Help About reports:

Microsoft Word 2000 (9.0.4402 SR-1)

What can I do?
