Fields in Formula's

I usually search through old posts before asking
questions, but I've got an issue that I don't think has
been addressed. here's the situation:

I've created an enterprise resource custom text field
that 'buckets' a resource. Now, I want to create an
enterprise custom task field which will use
that 'bucketed' value of the assigned resource.

When defining the formula for this custom task field, when
I click on the "Field" box to select fields for my
formula, I have no ability to reference custom Resource
Fields, even though I *can* reference resource names,
initials, etc.

Can anyone help me here by either giving me a direction,
or telling me that I simply can't do what I want to do.

Are you sure you can't find it? Try using the original name for that field -
before you customized it. For example if you customized text1 to be
"BlahBlahBlah" use Text1.
