Fields Positioned At Bottom of the Form

There must be some form property I don't understand.

On a single column form, in Design View:
- the first field is positioned at a .1" vertical position
- the form looks like I want it to
- there is no form footer

When I open the form, either clicking View from Design view, or closing and
opening it again, the first field is positioned such that the last field is
right at the bottom. If I add a footer, the fields move up the height of the
footer. While I could position it how I want by a footer set by trial and
error, this seems like a bandaid. I suspect I've accidentally changed a
property that is in essence "bottom-justifying" the fields within the
available space.

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

I can't make out what you are describing. What is a single-column form? Do
you mean a form in datasheet view, or what exactly? What do you mean by "the
first field is positioned such that the last field is right at the bottom"?
Are you referring to record order? More information, please.

Bruce,

It is in Single Form view, with all fields arranged in a single column--just
as the Form Wizard would create if "Columnar" was selected.

What I'd like to see is something like:

________________________________________________________________
CONTAINERS
________________________________________________________________

Container ID:
Container Name:
Size:
Unit:

______________BOTTOM OF FORM____________________________________

What I see instead is:

________________________________________________________________
CONTAINERS
________________________________________________________________

Container ID:
Container Name:
Size:
Unit:
______________BOTTOM OF FORM____________________________________

Thank you for the help.

Sprinks,

In the Detail section of your form, while in Design View, move the fields up
to the top of the Detail section. Then move the bottom bar of the Detail
Section up to the bottom of the last field.

Sprinks, does this have something to do with where you have placed the
subform on this form?
If you were to delete the subform and move the controls to where you want
them and save the form and then reopen the form would you get what you
want?
