" file already in use "

Hi,
I am tring to open a.mdb file which is already been opend in another PC. The
file is located in a network drive. But the MS Access displayes an error
message saying " file is already in use ". How can I over come this problem?

1. Make sure the original computer is opening the database in Shared mode:
Tools | Options | Advanced | Default open mode.

2. Make sure the remote computer has full priviliges. If you connect to a
read-only share when the database is already opened else-where, you get this
message.

Hi Allen,
Thanks for that, while doing those setting changes I have to split the
Database as well. After doing both I got succeeded.
