file attachments in outlook 2003

All of a sudden I can't attach a file, word, ppt, pdf...anything to an email.
The system just freezes and says not responding. I can open attachments from
other but cant send. Im having to go through yahoo mail to get any attachment
out.
I am completely confused and have no idea what happened. Im using outlook
2003 but the rest of office is 2007. This has worked perfectly fine for 6
months!
It began when I used a template out of word for a proposal. I don't think
thats the problem though since now I cant send anything through outlook.
Please help, what can I do? I am not a techie so please keep it simple

You posted in a very low traffic group where we only deal with
BCM-related issues.

Your question is not about BCM.

Please post in Microsoft.Public.Outlook where your message will get more
exposure and you'll probably get quicker response.
