I'm running Access XP on Windows XP Pro with all the latest updates for both
OS (but not SP2) and Office installed.
When I click to open a file, the browser opens quite normally. When I try
to navigate through to a different folder, it takes anything from 20 seconds
or more to display the tree. After that, it works perfectly well, but if I
close the browser and re-open it (even having kept Access open), it happens
all over again.
The problem is the same with the other Office applications I run, although
Windows Explorer runs perfectly well. I defragment the drive on a regular
basis (using MS and Norton) but this has no effect.
Can anyone tell me what I've missed, done or not done?
Thanks in anticipation.
