File - Close: it takes a long time in MS Project PRO SP2

I have been experiencing something in my machine lately: Everytime I do
File-Close on a file in Project Professional, it takes a long time to close
it.

Has anyone had this same issue?

Hi ABG,

Is the project file taking a long time to close because it is saving?

We had a similar problem with one file and found a resource had been
replicated 28,000+ times in the resource sheet (still don't know how it
happened!!).
This caused the project file to take approx. 20 minutes to save and close.

We fixed the problem by removing the replicated resources. It still took a
while to re-save but after that it was fine.

Thanks for your reply Geoff!

I have found out that my network profile was corrupted! we rebuilt it and
MS Project Professional started to work faster and it no longer takes a long
time to close any project file.
