File Dialog-enabling selection of NON-EXISTENT files

I need to use the file dialog object to enable the
selection of a file name which either does or does not
already exist on disk.So I imagine I might need to use
the file dialog in "save as" mode but can't even get this
far.How is this done please? I am using Access 2002 with
WIN XP.Thanks for any help/coding.

Rather than use the File Dialog object, consider making calls to the API
directly. There's sample code at http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0001.htm

Mike, Doug is right. Use the API call.

Although FileDialog offers you a msoFileDialogSaveAs option, it doesn't work
in Access. Details:
