Hi all
One of my users are experiencing a strange issue and i dont know how to fix
it. She had a laptop with XP and Office 2003 on.Obviously created douments
and stored them on map drives, etc. Now she got a new laptop. It has XP pro
also on but Office 2007 and sometimes get the message below when she try to
open some of her documents. this is getting frustrating for her as she need
to either save a copy of the file, open 2 files that are the same, etc, etc.
We also tried putting Excell and Word 2003 (the apps she used the most) on
to see if it solve the problem but to no avail. Anything else that i can
test.
How can i solve this?

- Open a read only copy
- Create a local copy and merge documents at later stage
- Receive a notification when the document becomes available
