File menu gone missing in FP2002

I was customising the menu structure in FP 2002when my
file menu disappeared. I cannot seem to get it back. I
can create a new File menu from scrtach, but am not sure
of the original layout. I have tried repairing my
installation.

Did you try right-clicking the toolbar, select the Toolbar page, and hit
reset?

In Windows Explorer find and delete cmdui.prf (it will reset you tool bars to the defaults)
- Usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State

Only any customizations you have done to your tools bars
- plus you may need to reinstall any addins that have modified your tool bars
