File name in footer

Is there a way to set a default for all word doc's to
automatically print the file name and file location as a
footer. I can do it for the current doc but i would like
every doc to default to this setting.
Thanks

You don't want to do this, because it will have unpredictable knock-on
effects, such as adding a footer to labels and screwing up the layouts. Add
the filename/p field to the footer of a document and save it as a template.
Then use that to create documents to which you want the filename added.
