file names with spaces stopped working

I used to be able to link to pages with files names like "new york.htm" however, that's stopped working. I find I'm having to rename such pages "newyork.htm" to get them to work...what happened? Can the system be reset to allow file names with spaces in them again?

Files and folders should never be named with spaces or other special characters, as they can cause
broken link in some browsers. You really need to correct this. This is not a FP issues.
