File Not Available

I recently downloaded updates from the Microsoft
website. Following the update I have been unable to open
documents in Word. Whenever I attempt to open a document
I receive an error stating that "The file ____ is not
available." The files were available prior to the
update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes I have the same problem - none of my old files will load and even one just created will not load. When Word loads I also get an error message which tells me that 4 different *.dot files can not be found in the startup director - but when I check that directory the files are there. I have uninstalled and reinstalled word with no improvement - this just started yesterday - HELP

Disable the Norton Office Plug-in. See "OFF: Cannot Open Office Documents or
Cannot Edit Inserted Objects After You Install Office XP Service Pack 2 or
