File not available

I am getting the error message "The file whatever.doc is
not available". Everyone Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Access files are getting this message.

I can open them from another computer. Permissions are
correct. Just not the one the docs are installed on.

Any help would be apprieciated!!!

This may be caused by a conflict with the Norton Office Plug-in. See "OFF:
Cannot Open Office Documents or Cannot Edit Inserted Objects After You
Install Office XP Service Pack 2 or Office 2000 Service Pack 3" at

The answer would be the same for you as for all the rest: Disable the Office
Plug-in in Norton AntiVirus.
