In Word 2003 on the File Open menu I have the view set to Details. I see
four columns of information: Name, Size, Type, Date modified. I would
like to permanently get rid of the Type column. If I right-click on the
column headings Type and then un-check Type that column disappears.
However, the next time I go to the File Open menu the Type column is back.
How can I permanently turn off the Type column?
