File path when saving

When I save a page, after inserting a graphic, FP2003 creates a path to a
folder called "images".

Where does this "path" designation come from? I want images to be addressed
from the root folder on my server, not from an "images" folder.

Thanks

Import the image to where you want it to be in your web, then insert in your page from that location
or move the image from the images folder after you have inserted it on your page closed and saved
the page.

FP create 2 folders by default in all FP enabled web, _private and images and will default to the
images folder for inserting or saving images.

While I am not an expert here, I would suggest using the images folder for
pictures. I keeps the root folder less messy, and makes things easier to
find.
Just my opinion.

FrontPage expects images to be saved in the images folder, and "assists" by
specifying that path. You can save the images wherever you like, just
Modify the path in the dialogue.

It would be better if you imported the images into the web before inserting
them on a page, especially if they are .jpg - FrontPage will add further
compression to .jpg images if FP is allowed to save them, causing some
deterioration in image quality.

Didn't notice the "folder" was specified in the save dialog box. I had used
an "Images" folder for a previous page and it just kept showing up as a
default.

Also appreciate the following which I didn't realize before. Good idea.

[It would be better if you imported the images into the web before inserting

Thanks for help.
