file permission error

I'm trying to sort out a problem with the Office XP for
Students Pack: when I try to save a file directly to a CD
via InCD, I get the message "cannot complete the save due
to file permission error" This only happens in Word, and
it doesn't happen all the time. For instance, if I save
the file to My Documents, then send it to InCD, it will
sometimes work, but not always. No other program shows
this fault. I'm running XP with all updates as far as I
know.

You cannot nor should try to save a document to removable media. A CD is
particularly no go because Word creates a temp file as it saves in the
current folder and it keeps updating this as it goes through its save
routine. This cannot work on a CDR. Always save to the hard drive first and
then copy to the removable media. Vice versa when opening too.
