File Permission Error

S

Steve

I have a Word document on disk that I added something to.
So I clicked "save as", heard the computer saving it - all
the normal sounds - but when I X'ed out, I'm asked if I
want to save the document.

No matter how many times I've tried, it's not being saved,
even though it goes through the motions of saving it.

I rebooted, scaned the disk for virus's, I don't know
what's going on.

Sometimes a rectangle windows box pops up, something about
a "file permission" error (no, the disk safey tab is not
pulled out).

Anyone know what's going on?

Thanks.

What version of Word are you running? Does this occurr everytime you try to
save a file? It seems that because the file was not finish saving and you
closed Word immediately it corrupted the file.

When you say disk, are you talking about floppy or hard disk? Try copying
the contents to the hard disk if its a floppy then try opening.
