I'm ashamed to admit how long I have been using Word, but...
Each chapter of my books is a file, and in order to keep them up to date and
ready for new editions, I frequently go into a file and either add a
comment, delete something, or just back out without changing anything. When
I look at File, Properties, I see date created, date modified, and date
accessed. In many cases, the date modified is earlier than the date created,
which defies logic. The Word Help file is useless when looking for an
explanation, as is Word 2002 for Dummies.
I would like date modified to reflect...you guessed it...the date I last
made a change. What am I missing here?
