File recover

Hi,

I have a user here who has accidently overwritten a workbook
unfotunately, this is a file that has not been backed up !

I have the ???????.xls~??????.tmp file that has been created, is ther
a way of recivering this temp backup file into a valid excel workboo
?

I'm not sure excel created that .tmp file.

(Maybe your antivirus program???)

Just a guess: Have you tried renaming it to .xls and seeing if xl can open it?
