File Reference Error Message

J

Jay Tyo

I get an error message when trying to open an InfoPath 2007 file in design
mode. The message says it can't open the xsn file because an xsd file is
referenced in the xsf file but is not part of the form. Does anyone know how
to get around this and get to the design mode?

Thanks,

Jay Tyo

Rename the file extension from .XSN to .CAB.
Extract the form template files into a folder.
Use notepad to edit the manifest.xsf file and remove the block of XML
referencing the XSD that no longer exists.
Save, exit Notepad, and then right-click the manifest.xsf file and choose
Design.
