Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Would appreciate some help here as we are having a mysterious file-size increase when saving an Excel spreadsheet in 1997-2004 (xls).
Originally created in Windows, we have been successfully using this document cross-platform for a couple of years. After the most recent update, when saving in 2008 (xlsx) the document is 1.9mb, then saved as xls, (the version most compatible with all users) it blows out to 9.9mb. When attached to send via email this further expands to 13.8mb!!
As this is a file we need to have used by teams around the world, obviously need to fix as it is over the limit of some people's mail boxes!
