File Size

S

Slim

I am working on a slide show to run on a kiosk. The file size is approaching
70 MB. I would like to make it smaller but I'm not sure where in the 40+
slides the large images are.

Is there a way to see a file size breakdown for each slide?

I'm running PowerPoint 2003

Thanks!

my personal experience says that u just save the file with some other name
e.g if the file was PPTfile just use the Save as option to save it as say
PPTfile1.
This reduces the file size considerably and this works for any office file
..doc,.xls as well.

If your file size is shrinking considerably when you save it with a new
name, chances are better than very good that you have Fast Saves turned on.
Go turn it off (Tools--> Options--> Save Tab). Now re-save. This will cut
the size of all your presentations and reduce the chance of corruption.
