Files downloaded from Internet will not open in Access 2007

I am a teacher working in an online course shell (e-Companion). I download a
student's file done in Access 2007. Access launches and opens fine. I review
the file.

I close the file, not the program, and return to my online course.

I try to open another Access 2007 file and, although it downloads correctly,
the Access screen stays at the default template screen instead of showing me
the downloaded (into memory) file.

What am I doing incorrectly?

I'm not at all familiar with e-companion ... but I offer a couple of
suggestions to try:

If you close both the file and Access itself, will it open up the next
download? In general, I would expect very little speed loss from closing
Access between each download, as the executables will (pretty much)
still be in memory. If that solves your problem, it suggests a possible
issue with the way e-companion is linking to Access.

Contact your e-companion technical support and/or the e-companion forum
/ newsgroup -- assuming that there is one.

Good luck!
