FILES OPEN IN EXCEL

when i save an excel file and tries to open it again it takes a very long
timt to open. Can anyone tell me whay this may be so.

Sometimes, it's as simple as cleaning up your windows temp folder.

Close all open applications and don't be installing/removing programs...

A quick way to get to the windows Temp folder:

Windows start button|Run
%temp%
(and hit enter)

And delete until you can't delete anymore!

And don't forget Documents and Settings\user\local settings\Temp folder.

I suggest re-booting first just in case you have forgotten you are in the
midst of an install or update.
