just installed office 2003 (over 2000) and none of the new programs will open
saved files. this includes templates and any files created by the new version.

i read about the Norton antivirus fix. I run PC-cillin 2002 antivirus and
dispite disabling it and exiting it the problem persists.

Word also prompts to save normal.dot on every exit.

Does Outlook work correctly for you?
This newsgroup is specificly for Outlook and you are probably better of in a
more generic Office newsgroup.
