Fill doesn't rotate w/ 3D Object

Bill

I have a 3D object that I have filled with a picture. I want to change the
orientation from it being flat to being viewed at an angle. When I rotate
the orientation, the fill doesn't seemed to rotate with the object? Thanks
for the help?

Which version of PPT are you using? There's an option to "rotate fill with
shape," but it's not in the same place in all versions.

I am using XP Professional and ppt 2003.

Thx. Bill

Thanks.

When you select the 3D object and go to Format | Fill Effects | Picture,
after you select the picture, the option for Rotate Fill Effect With Shape
becomes available. Make sure it's checked (it should be by default).

Annnnnd.....it doesn't work! Crud. Definite bug.

If I were in this situation, I'd get the shape with fill to the size I need
it, then I'd copy it and Edit | Paste Special and choose PNG. Then I'd
rotate that. Keep a copy of the original shape around so you can edit it if
necessary -- you won't be able to edit the PNG.

Thanks for your prompt response. I will give a shot at copying it to a png
file....
