fill effects

I've tried many different things but can't get my fill to be solid, with no
pattern or pixelation. How can I get a plain, solid color behind my text?

==================================
What happens if you right click the text box
and from the menu...choose...Format Text Box /
Colors and Lines tab...open the Color
drop window and make a selection?

Right click in the text box. Select Format Text Box. Pick your color. To get
any sort of effect you need to select it. If you're getting one, you need to
clear those options.

If you are selecting to get a solid fill and it is appearing patterned on
your monitor, you may be using a low colour depth (256-colour) that means
that all colours that aren't in the standard pallette of 256 are made by
having some pixels appear one colour and some pixels another colour.
Try going to Start > Control Panel > Display > Advanced and increasing the
colour depth there.

If you can't increase your colour depth (and it is 256-colour), then you
will want to update your video drivers.
Visit the website of the manufacturer of your video card (or motherboard if
video is onboard), and look there for details on updating your diver.
