Fill in text forms not working in other programs??

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Power PC Is it possible to save the fill in text fields as a pdf file? Or can the fill in text function only work in Word?

I agree not enough information . But my take on the question is would a
form created in word still be a form if converted to a PDF. If what is
asking is this then question should be no.
