Fill in the Blanks Form

I have created a form that uses a combo box to select items from a table and
dump them into a detail section of a subform.
Instead of selecting only those items that are relevant, I would like to
select ALL of the 8 items from the table and display them on the form.
I can individually select them and just not add quantites, but I would
rather see them like a fill in the blanks form

My reason for doing this is that I eventually need to create a report which
will be exported to Excel. The only program that anyone in the office uses is
Excel. MS Access might as well be written in Greek
Is there a way to do this?
I may be able to somehow do it with a report but I haven't gotten that far yet
