Fill in the box

I'm redoing a form and need to insert several boxes into which the user can enter a letter or number. Is this possible?

Thanks. What I had really wanted to do was put in a box and have it included as a text box for one letter or number to be entered. I finally split the cell into multiple cells, sized them, applied necessary borders and was then able to put a text box into each one. Not really what I wanted, but it works for now. Thanks again for your input, Charles.

Yes it is possible if you're using Microsoft Word. While
you are on your document page, right click on the toolbar
area. This will bring up the "toolbar chooser" (I'm not
sure about the proper terminology) and when the box with
the names of all the toolbars comes up, double click on
the forms toolbar. From there you can enter many
different types of form elements. Good luck!!
