Fill-in

Hi Can someone help?

I'm trying to Collect date from an Excell file using Mail
merge in Word 2002 (Skip if Not equal to "Date" then
inserting "using fill-in to request" a date like(04-Jan-
04).

When the date is unique I get one result.
When the days are the same I get multiple results; like
(04 Jan), (04 Jun) and (04 Jul). How do I tell mail
merge to look at the whole date not just the day?
