filling a series down the column

I can't seem to fill a series the way i need it, I think
it's looking at the last number, but does anyone know how
to make it fill down a column by the sheet name, as
opposed to the last character typed?

I want it to fill like:

=(Sheet1!A1)
=(Sheet2!A1)
=(Sheet3!A1)

but I get:

=(Sheet1!A1)
=(Sheet1!A2)
=(Sheet1!A3)
